- Oversee system architecture design, configuration management, and system tuning to support business needs efficiently.
- Administer Active Directory management, system backup and recovery procedures, and storage management to safeguard data integrity.
- Monitor network security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and information security measures to protect against threats.
- Support software implementation, troubleshooting, and administration for applications such as, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB.
- Conduct performance tuning and load balancing across systems using technologies such as VMware ESXi/ESXi hosts (ESXi), and virtualization platforms like Virtualization solutions.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for operating systems including Windows; resolve issues related to system design or architecture swiftly.
- Support systems & applications support activities including RESTful API integrations, microservices architecture deployment with Docker containers or Kubernetes clusters.
Requirements
- Proven experience in system administration across diverse platforms including Windows Server administration.
- Knowledge of RAID controller configurations for storage management; experience with SAN/NAS solutions is a plus.
- Expertise in network configuration including VPNs, firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA), DNS/DHCP management; familiarity with computer networking principles is essential.
- Hands-on experience with cloud services like AWS or Azure; understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi/ESXi hosts or Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL; skills in database solution architecture are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of information security principles; experience implementing security protocols including firewalls and VPNs to safeguard data assets.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues efficiently while maintaining high levels of service availability in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals or VMware Certified Professional are a plus.
