A national technology leader is seeking a Linux Administrator to support and maintain development systems used to validate networking ASICs and software for next-generation supercomputers. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your work directly contributes to the performance and reliability of advanced computing platforms.
salary: $85,000 - $120,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM education: Bachelors
Responsibilities
- Debug and fix prototype and emulation system issues as they occur to maximize uptime.
- Use your Pyathon and Bash Scripting skills to support systems and testing
- Maintain daily updates of development software stack on systems.
- Maintain and improve existing system status reporting infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and debug system issues to isolate root cause of failures.
- Build compute node images with latest OS versions and software stack updates.
- Administer compute cluster for system validation team.
- Collaborate and communicate with management and internal partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
Skills:
- Must be within commuting distance of Bloomington, MN or Chippewa Falls, WI
- Experience with servers, networks, filesystems, and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with compute clusters (LSF, Slurm preferred)
- Experience with ASIC emulation platforms (Palladium, Veloce, Zebu) is a plus
- strong scripting ability in Bash and Python
- Ability to work in a transparent, collaborative engineering environment
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment
- Domonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Curiosity and an appetite for learning new technologies
