Requirements

  • Approximately 8-10 years of hands-on experience in technical writing and functional/project documentation. (Note: this reflects the incumbent''s profile; adjust the minimum to fit your needs.)

  • Bachelor''s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proven experience creating and maintaining a variety of documentation types: user manuals, installation guides, release notes, data dictionaries, requirements documents, and training materials.

  • Strong proofreading, editing, and quality assurance skills with excellent command of grammar, style, clarity, and consistency.

  • Experience working within Agile teams and producing release documentation.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.

  • Familiarity with document accessibility standards (Section 508 compliance).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical staff and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification.

  • SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager certification or equivalent Agile credential.

  • Experience with Agile lifecycle management tooling (e.g., Digital.ai Agility or similar).

  • Experience with SharePoint and Atlassian Confluence for document authoring and collaboration.

  • Experience supporting change management tools (e.g., SAP ChaRM) or documenting system changes in an enterprise ERP/financial systems environment.

  • Familiarity with configuration management and process improvement practices.

  • Experience in a government/federal contracting environment; active or eligible for Public Trust clearance may be required depending on the client.
