Job description
Network Operations & Monitoring
- Performs routine health checks across network systems including Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco ISE, and Cisco ACI environments
- Monitors network performance and proactively identifies and resolves issues
- Conducts firewall rule reviews and cleanup activities to maintain a secure and optimized environment.
Security & Access Control
- Manages firewall policies, VPN configurations, and network access controls
- Maintains and renews certificates across network platforms (Palo Alto, Cisco ISE, wireless infrastructure, ACI, and DNAC)
- Implements secure device management and access controls for infrastructure systems.
Network Upgrades & Lifecycle Management
- Plans and executes firmware and software upgrades for network infrastructure
- Supports large scale network refresh initiatives
- Ensures upgrades follow change management procedures with minimal disruption.
Infrastructure Deployment
- Assists with deployment and configuration of network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points
- Supports global network buildouts and upgrades
- Coordinates core, access, wireless, IoT, and AV network implementations.
Troubleshooting & Incident Response
- Troubleshoots Cisco ISE authentication and routing issues (EIGRP, BGP);
- Performs root cause analysis
- Provides escalation support for network incidents.
Operational Maintenance & DR
- Participates in disaster recovery testing and failover exercises;
- Supports maintenance activities such as power shutdowns; and
- Ensures high availability of network systems.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintains documentation and network diagrams;
- Identifies automation opportunities;
- Supports knowledge sharing
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Network Engineer to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across global locations. This role is operationally focused and responsible for network security, routing, access control systems, and infrastructure lifecycle management. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, consistency, and a focus on network reliability, performance, and security., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field required;
- 3+ years of enterprise networking experience;
- Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco technologies;
- Strong knowledge of BGP and EIGRP;
- Experience with Azure cloud networking including VNets, routing, VPN or ExpressRoute;
- Experience with security and certificate management;
- Relevant certifications preferred (CCNP, PCNSE, Azure);
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work after hours as needed.
