Job description
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the architecture, implementation, and operational support of our enterprise traffic management and application delivery environment. You will be the primary technical lead for ensuring our services remain highly available, scalable, and secure. This is a high-impact role for an engineer who understands that load balancing is the heartbeat of modern application performance. You will move beyond simple configuration, focusing on building automated delivery pipelines, implementing disaster recovery solutions, and partnering with development teams to ensure seamless application integration. Automation: Develop scripts and automation workflows to manage configuration, streamline deployments, and integrate application delivery into CI/CD pipelines. Operational Excellence: Plan and execute software upgrades and patches with a focus on zero-downtime maintenance. Monitor health, set up critical alerts, and perform proactive performance tuning.
Security & Collaboration Security & Compliance: Implement advanced security configurations to protect applications. Ensure all traffic management solutions comply with organizational security policies and standards. Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with application developers, network architects, and infrastructure teams to integrate new services and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks. Documentation: Maintain high-quality technical documentation for configurations, operational procedures, and root-cause analysis findings.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Experience Baseline: 5-7+ years of deep, hands-on experience with enterprise-grade application delivery controllers and traffic management modules. Technical Mastery: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and advanced load balancing algorithms. Automation: Demonstrated experience in scripting and automating infrastructure configurations.
Preferred Attributes Experience integrating traffic management solutions with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform). Familiarity with monitoring (Nagios/Zabbix/Prometheus) and logging (Splunk) tools to diagnose complex traffic patterns. Ability to distill complex technical issues into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
