Job description
- Serve as the technical architect for Microsoft Power Platform implementations, leading discovery, solution design, build, test, and deployment phases across the full project lifecycle
- Architect and deliver enterprise-grade solutions using PowerApps, Power Pages, Power BI, SharePoint, Power Automate, Microsoft Teams, custom .NET development, and complex data integrations
- Design and build advanced automation using Model Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, and Power Automate, extending platform capabilities with custom connectors, plug-ins, and C#/.NET scripting where low-code falls short
- Define, establish, and continuously refine Power Platform architecture standards, reusable components, and implementation tooling across engagements
- Own technical quality across the development lifecycle, setting coding standards and conducting architecture-level code and design reviews in collaboration with development and QA teams
- Lead and actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily scrums, sprint retrospectives, and demos, presenting solution architecture and technical direction to stakeholders
- Partner directly with client stakeholders and project leadership to design and implement enterprise Microsoft Dynamics/Power Platform solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and long-term maintainability
- Act as the primary Microsoft Power Platform Subject Matter Expert (SME), owning system architecture, solution design, environment/system configuration, and security/governance management
- Author and review design documentation, technical specifications, and architecture decision records for new solutions and enhancements
- Provide senior-level guidance to the support team on complex production issues, including root-cause analysis and custom scripted remediations
- Stay ahead of platform evolution by tracking Power Platform updates and Microsoft's wave release roadmaps, advising clients on adoption strategy, Design and architect enterprise Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) integrated with Microsoft 365 and Azure. Lead development, code reviews, CI/CD, and troubleshooting; mentor junior developers; run workshops, produce engineering documentation, and participate in Agile/DevOps practices while ensuring scalability, security, compliance, and data governance. Requirements
- Minimum of TWELVE (12) years of professional experience in software development/solution architecture, with significant depth in Microsoft Power Platform
- Bachelor's degree (4-year college degree) required
- Must be able to commute to client site as needed
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
- US Citizenship is contractually required for this role
- Demonstrated experience architecting technical requirements, test strategies/scripts, and custom scripted solutions across multiple programming languages and technologies
- Extensive experience in Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments
- Strong ability to translate complex technical architecture into clear guidance for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Core Skills: C#, SQL, .NET, Power Apps, SharePoint, Microsoft Dataverse (CDS), Power Automate, custom scripting/plug-in development
- Deep understanding of and hands-on experience establishing Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) and governance frameworks
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Experience in "Big 4" or equivalent established consulting firm and/or Microsoft Gold partner highly desired
- BA/BS degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Experience with public sector clients preferred
- Experience with Agile or Hybrid-Agile methodology
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., PL-600 Solution Architect)
