Job description
The SAP ABAP/EDI Analyst is responsible for the design, development, implementation, integration, and support of SAP ABAP and EDI solutions within the SAP environment. This role partners with business and IT teams to develop technical solutions, support SAP ECC applications, troubleshoot system issues, and manage EDI integrations with customers and trading partners. The ideal candidate has strong SAP ABAP development experience, expertise in SAP SD and MM modules, and hands-on knowledge of EDI transactions and IDoc processing., * Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, including enhancements, conversions, user exits, ALV reports, LSMW, RFCs, ALE/EDI, IDocs, BAPIs, and BADIs.
- Develop and modify SAP Smart Forms and SAP Scripts.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve SAP application and system issues.
- Support inbound and outbound EDI transactions and IDoc processing.
- Monitor EDI interfaces, investigate errors, and implement corrective actions.
- Map EDI transactions (850, 855, 846, 856, 810) to SAP IDoc structures in collaboration with third-party EDI providers.
- Coordinate onboarding of new EDI trading partners by gathering and validating integration requirements.
- Respond to EDI support requests and resolve data mapping, transmission, and processing issues.
- Serve as a primary technical resource for SAP and EDI production support.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Participate in system testing, implementation, upgrades, and ongoing support activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for SAP developments and EDI integrations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of SAP ABAP development experience in SAP ECC 6.0 or higher.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP ABAP development, including enhancements, conversions, User Exits, ALV Reports, LSMW, RFCs, ALE/EDI, IDocs, BAPIs, and BADIs.
- Experience developing SAP Smart Forms and SAP Scripts.
- Strong knowledge of SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) and MM (Materials Management) modules.
- Experience integrating EDI transactions with SAP IDoc structures.
- Experience onboarding EDI trading partners and supporting EDI mapping and integration.
- Knowledge of common EDI transaction sets, including 850, 855, 846, 856, and 810.
- Understanding of the SAP Order-to-Cash process.
- Experience supporting inbound and outbound IDoc processing and monitoring.
- Experience working with third-party EDI mapping providers and middleware solutions.
- Experience participating in at least one full SAP ECC implementation.
- SQL query experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
