Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled ZScaler Engineer and Administrator to join our cybersecurity team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing ZScaler cloud security solutions to ensure robust protection of our organization's network infrastructure. Your expertise will help optimize secure remote access, enforce security policies, and enhance overall network security posture. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of cloud security technology, supporting a fast-paced environment with cutting-edge tools and practices., * Configure, deploy, and manage ZScaler cloud security platform to safeguard organizational data and applications.

  • Integrate ZScaler with existing network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers to ensure seamless security coverage.
  • Monitor network traffic and security alerts using ZScaler analytics tools; perform proactive threat detection and response.
  • Collaborate with network engineering teams to implement secure routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP within cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and system hardening procedures on network hardware like Cisco routers/switches, ASA firewalls, and SAN storage systems.
  • Support network troubleshooting efforts involving IDS/IPS systems, IPsec VPNs, DNS, DHCP, LDAP/Active Directory integrations, and other network protocols.
  • Develop automation scripts using Python or Bash for system administration tasks; utilize Ansible for configuration management.
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations, security policies, and incident reports; support high availability architectures and disaster recovery plans.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with ZScaler platform administration and engineering in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, QoS, and network switching.
  • Hands-on expertise with network security tools such as Cisco ISE, Palo Alto or Cisco ASA firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, VPNs (IPsec & SSL), and encryption standards.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure; experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or ESXi is preferred.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Python or Shell Scripting for automation purposes.
  • Understanding of system administration across multiple operating systems including Windows Server, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS), BSD variants, macOS, and openSUSE.
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices for network management; experience with vulnerability assessment tools like Splunk or SolarWinds is advantageous.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues involving TCP/IP protocols, DNS/DHCP configurations, load balancing solutions, and system hardening techniques.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP (Cisco), CISSP or CISA are highly desirable; familiarity with DevOps practices is a plus.

Benefits & conditions

Pay: $60.00 - $100.00 per hour
