Job description
As an Industrial Systems Technician, you will play a critical role in maximizing facility uptime by proactively maintaining and repairing complex machinery. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to drive operational efficiency and ensure our production lines run at peak performance. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve issues within mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using technical schematics.
- Execute preventative maintenance and repairs on conveyors, industrial controls, and facility fixtures to ensure continuous operation.
- Document all maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders to maintain accurate service records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technical solutions and improve machine reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and training to team members to elevate the collective skill set of the maintenance department.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including proper lockout/tagout procedures and safe machine operation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related technical field.
- Proven ability to interpret complex electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as calipers, dial indicators, and bore gauges.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with shop equipment like lathes, mills, and power tools.
- Basic computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to own and maintain a personal set of basic hand tools., * 6+ years of experience in high-speed manufacturing or packaging environments.
- Advanced knowledge of VFDs, servo drives, PLC systems, and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with HVAC systems, chillers, and industrial air compressors.
- Skilled in metal fabrication, including MIG, TIG, or stick welding.
- Expertise in troubleshooting 480VAC and 24VDC electrical systems.
- Familiarity with major bottling or plastics processing equipment.
