Job description

Join the EADGE-T team and help modernize the program's technology while delivering new capabilities to the UAE customer. EADGE-T provides an integrated air and missile defense and air battle management capability that connects existing sensors, weapons, and emerging technologies.

The Technical Refresh effort will focus on hardware upgrades and foundational cybersecurity enhancements. This is an opportunity to help design and develop the updated baseline while working directly with an international customer.

The Network Communications Engineer will design, configure, secure, monitor, and troubleshoot complex, high-performance communication networks supporting mission-critical systems.

This role requires strong technical expertise across network architecture, integration, automation, cybersecurity, and performance optimization. You will help ensure the reliability, redundancy, security, and scalability of networks operating across multiple classification domains.

  • This position requires a government security clearance at the Secret level; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.

  • This position may require travel to customer sites throughout the UAE.

  • This position may occasionally support off-hours test events, including overnight and weekend activities.

  • Support the Lead Network Architect in decomposing system-level requirements and developing functional, logical, and physical architectures for data center network solutions.

  • Help develop infrastructure and network policies, including LAN/WAN firewall, network continuity, Quality of Service (QoS), IP addressing, encryption, AAA, and monitoring plans.

  • Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and specialized network infrastructure.

  • Integrate network solutions with server infrastructure, mission systems, data links, and WAN environments while adhering to applicable DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

  • Support capacity planning, latency analysis, and bandwidth optimization for high-throughput, low-latency applications.

  • Implement traffic engineering techniques, including MPLS, segment routing, policing, and traffic shaping, to meet performance requirements.

  • Perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex network faults, packet loss, routing loops, and authentication issues.

  • Use tools such as Wireshark, NetFlow, and telemetry platforms to monitor performance and proactively address network issues.

  • Apply Cyber System Security Plan guidance and Zero Trust networking principles while enforcing encryption, authentication, and integrity controls.

  • Support NIST 800-53 controls, firewall rule implementation, zone-segmentation policies, and centralized security management tools.

  • Use tools such as Ansible, Python, and vendor-developed scripts to automate network configuration and deployment.

  • Use SNMP, NETCONF, CLI commands, and shell scripting to support configuration backup, rollback, and recovery.

  • Use commercial or open-source network monitoring tools such as OpenText NNMi, Nagios XI, SolarWinds, or OpenNMS.

EADGE-T has a geographically dispersed project team that operates in an Agile Scrum environment.

Team members have the opportunity to work directly with an international customer and gain exposure to the technologies and processes supporting this upgrade.
