Job description

The IT Engineer will own the day-to-day IT operations of NTT DATA AIVista, ensuring our employees have reliable, secure, and scalable technology infrastructure. This is a hands-on role at a fast-moving AI startup where you will be responsible for endpoint management, identity and access, SaaS administration, cloud infrastructure, IT help desk, and supporting our security compliance programs

We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure and cloud security, in addition to modern IT operations. This role will partner closely with the Engineering team to maintain secure, scalable cloud environments while supporting the company's broader IT needs.

Responsibilities

IT Operations

  • Own employee onboarding and offboarding IT processes end-to-end, including device provisioning and access setup.
  • Manage endpoint security and MDM (zero-touch deployment, device compliance).
  • Administer identity and access management systems including SSO, MFA, YubiKeys, and 1Password.
  • Manage SaaS platforms including Notion, Slack, Microsoft 365, Ramp, DocuSign, Zoom, and AI productivity tools (ChatGPT, Claude).
  • Own IT asset inventory, purchasing, and lifecycle management.
  • Own and improve cloud infrastructure administration, including networking, IAM, baseline configurations, cloud resource management, and environment hygiene, in partnership with the Engineering team.
  • Maintain and improve IT infrastructure for Palo Alto and Bellevue offices.
  • Manage IT help desk and support ticket resolution via Linear; own SLA performance and reporting.

Compliance & Security Support

  • Support security and compliance programs.
  • Support cloud security management, including secure cloud configuration, IAM governance, logging and monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and implementation of security best practices.
  • Contribute to security policy implementation and IT controls documentation.
  • Manage NTT DATA group IT and security compliance requirements.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements to scale IT operations as the company grows.
  • Support executive meetings and onsite events with IT logistics.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, IT engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including IAM, networking, security configurations, and operational best practices.
  • Experience supporting cloud security, including access management, logging, monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and secure baseline configurations.
  • Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (Jamf, Intune, or equivalent) and zero-touch device deployment.
  • Strong experience with identity and access management (Okta, Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, or equivalent), MFA, and SSO.
  • Proficiency administering SaaS platforms such as Microsoft 365, Slack, Notion, and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with SOC 2 controls, Vanta or similar compliance platforms, and security policy frameworks.
  • Experience managing IT ticketing systems (Linear, Jira, or equivalent) and owning SLA accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Experience at a technology or AI company is preferred.

Compensation Range

The estimated annual base salary range for this role is $150,000-$190,000 USD. The salary for the successful applicant will depend on job-related factors such as education, training, work experience, business needs, and market demands. This range may be modified in the future. Total compensation also includes variable pay in the form of an annual target bonus and other cash incentives, with a combined potential of up to 40% of base salary.
