Job description

In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. This role will support the buildout and enablement of a large-scale enterprise data private cloud platform designed to support analytics workloads across more than 70 tenant teams. The engineer will focus on platform architecture, tenant enablement, automation, observability, security controls, and operational readiness as part of a broader enterprise data center migration initiative. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain a scalable data private cloud platform leveraging Kubernetes and OpenShift
  • Configure platform components including compute, networking, storage, and object storage integrations
  • Support onboarding and enablement of 70+ tenant applications and teams
  • Design and implement observability solutions utilizing Grafana, Prometheus, BigPanda, PagerDuty, and ThousandEyes
  • Develop automation frameworks using Terraform, Helm, GitOps, and Argo CD
  • Collaborate with networking and infrastructure teams on firewall, load balancing, and connectivity requirements
  • Implement and maintain security, compliance, and governance controls
  • Support data platform technologies including Spark, Trino, Iceberg, Hive, and DataHub where applicable
  • Define resource allocation, access models, and tenant onboarding processes
  • Troubleshoot platform issues and optimize performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Support enterprise migration initiatives and platform modernization efforts

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Kubernetes (OpenShift preferred) and Linux administration

  • Experience building and supporting enterprise-scale platforms from the ground up

  • Experience with observability, automation, and platform engineering tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Terraform, Helm, Argo CD)Plusses:

  • Experience with Spark, Trino, Iceberg, Hive, DataHub, and Object Storage

  • Experience with OpenShift networking, ingress/egress controls, and network policies

  • Experience with NexusOne (immediate interview consideration)
