Job description

Under minimal supervision, the Lead Customer Analytics serves as a senior analytical resource responsible for leading complex analytics initiatives that support population health and value based care strategies. This individual partners with leadership and cross functional teams to analyze financial, clinical, operational, and claims data to drive informed business decisions.

The role functions as both a project lead and internal consultant, developing sophisticated financial models, identifying trends, creating actionable recommendations, and presenting findings to senior leadership. This individual also serves as a technical resource across the organization and may mentor or oversee junior analysts and consultants.

Primary Responsibilities

Analytics & Business Intelligence

  • Analyze complex financial, clinical, operational, and claims data.
  • Develop financial models using appropriate assumptions and methodologies.
  • Interpret cost, utilization, and population health data.
  • Identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive customer analytics models.

Population Health

  • Support Total Cost of Care (TCOC) analytics.
  • Analyze healthcare cost and utilization trends.
  • Produce reports that support population health initiatives and value based care.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership and business stakeholders.

Project Leadership

  • Lead customer analytics initiatives from planning through implementation.
  • Manage complex cross functional projects.
  • Develop project plans, coordinate deliverables, and present project results.
  • Serve as the analytics lead on strategic initiatives.

Business Partnership

  • Partner with internal business customers to understand reporting and analytics needs.
  • Collaborate with cross disciplinary teams to improve strategic use of data.
  • Share business intelligence across departments to support informed decision making.

Data Quality & Systems

  • Partner with IT to troubleshoot and validate business intelligence data.
  • Identify, resolve, and validate data issues affecting reporting tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree (Masters preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of extensive data analytics experience (Healthcare or Health Insurance strongly preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years leading complex, cross functional projects
  • Experience with claims data analytics
  • Strong statistical analysis skills
