Engineer, AI Platforms

• Build and enhance end-to-end AI-powered applications, including frontend developer tools (e.g., VS Code plugins) and backend services.
• Develop and integrate LLM-powered features into enterprise applications, improving user productivity and experience through intelligent workflows and contextual assistance.
• Contribute to enterprise-scale search, retrieval, and indexing systems, enabling efficient processing and understanding of codebases and knowledge assets.
• Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and integration layers to expose AI/ML capabilities across applications and developer tools.
• Rapidly iterate on UI/UX features based on real-world usage, feedback, and evolving product requirements to deliver intuitive and high-quality user experiences.
• Debug and resolve issues across application layers, including frontend, backend, and AI/LLM-driven components.

This is a fast-paced, execution-driven position that requires strong ownership, the ability to deliver under tight timelines, and a passion for building intuitive, AI-driven user experiences while scaling platform capabilities across multiple products., Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in C#.NET, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Angular, Node.js, HTML, and CSS
• Experience building full-stack applications (UI + backend services + APIs)
• Proven ability to build clean, intuitive, and performant user interfaces
• Hands-on experience developing or integrating LLM-based / AI-powered applications
• Familiarity with agentic workflows or orchestration frameworks
• Ability to take high-level direction and independently drive end-to-end implementation
• Strong understanding of API design, state management, and UI/backend integration
• Experience debugging across both traditional systems and AI/LLM-driven behavior

Nice-to-Have

• Tracing/observability tools for LLM systems
• Experience with Elasticsearch / vector search
• Docker / Kubernetes exposure
• Multi-agent systems and evaluation frameworks

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits: $111,300.00 - $166,900.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
