Job description
Network Data Systems (NDS) is looking for a Wireless Network Administrator.
- The Network Administrator must be well-versed is network architectures and components. The Network Administrator will work with both Customer and Vendor Network Engineers and Specialists to participate in planning and implementation activities, execute daily duties (e.g. solution administration, report generation, and analysis of data/reports), and to be able to lead troubleshooting sessions. The Network Administrator must be able to work with independently and with supervision in a dynamic and innovative work environment.
Requirements

At least 5 years total network management experience operating, maintaining and updating a campus LAN and WLAN network to ensure proper operations and compliance is maintained. Tasks may include moves, adds and changes (MACDs), configuration audit, changes and reports, wireless radio analysis using provided tools, coordinating software upgrades and active participation in standing and troubleshooting calls/meetings, at a minimum.

At least 5 years of engineering level network support that includes specific knowledge of:

VLAN usage, IPv4 subnet address usage, DHCP, DNS

Endpoint network and authentication applied to Windows PC, iPhone IOS mobile, and Android mobile

Creating and maintaining diagrams, floor maps and related operational documentation and procedures

Creating and executing change requests for use with NOC and Customer Change Advisory Boards (CABs)

Working and adhering with compliance programs; FISMA moderate experience preferred

Cisco campus LAN infrastructure with at least 2 years of C9400/C9300 in traditionally deployed three and two tier environments

Cisco campus WLAN infrastructure with at least 2 years' experience with WIFI5/6 including C9800 based controllers for both enterprise and guest environments

Cisco enterprise management tools with at least 2 years' experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (CC) or DNA Center (DNAC), Cisco Identify Service Engine (ISE) and Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center or Firepower Management Center (FMC)

Experience supporting a Federal Government agency network

Experience using the Microsoft office suite of tools

Experience with the ITIL V3 IT Lifecycle Management Framework Skills/Personal Qualities:

Ability to work independently or closely with other developers with minimal guidance., The estimated hourly range for this job is $50-70/hr. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that NDS reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel.
