Job description
The Embedded Developer will be responsible for developing, configuring and maintaining Rain Bird s software and hardware products., * Design, develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks for end-to-end scenarios, UI, Mobile, API, Firmware and hardware integration.
- Integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Support agile teams including platform teams who are continuously delivering.
- Develop, update, and maintain tools used for automated testing of Rain Bird products.
- Troubleshoot and validate software issues.
Requirements

Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, C++, and C.

Understanding of Java or Python.

Experience developing tests that execute the interaction between firmware, software and irrigation hardware.

Experience with relational database creation and management using SQL Server.

Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks, drivers, and User Interface applications.

Strong understanding of CI/CD pipeline integration with automation tools.

Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and version control systems such as Git.

Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.

Assist in identifying Design for Testability (DFT) requirements.

Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in evaluating, selecting, and implementing new automation tools and technologies.

Bachelor of Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent degree., * Experience working with irrigation products and systems.

Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and Zephyr.

Familiarity with SAFe methodology.

Test automation experience working with integration of hardware, firmware and software.

Experience leveraging AI to create efficiencies within manual and automated testing.
