Job description

A leading organization is seeking a Lead Developer to provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and deliver high-quality software solutions. This role involves managing a small development team, performing advanced technical analysis, and driving the design, development, and modernization of enterprise applications., * Analyze and enhance existing systems to meet business and user needs

  • Develop complex SSRS and Power BI reports following established standards
  • Support deployment and ongoing maintenance of applications in production
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and defects, * Follow best practices across SDLC: analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support
  • Contribute to process improvements and innovation initiatives
  • Ensure application accuracy, efficiency, and stability through rigorous testing

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Work closely with developers, database administrators, and business analysts
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support development initiatives
  • Participate in brainstorming and process improvement efforts

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Mentor and train junior developers
  • Conduct performance evaluations and approve timesheets
  • Lead one-on-one meetings and support team development
  • Provide code reviews and technical guidance

Support & Maintenance

  • Assist in resolving customer support issues and production incidents
  • Maintain and enhance applications post-deployment

Requirements

  • Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and ASP.NET Core
  • Frontend development using Angular (v8+) and TypeScript
  • Experience with AngularJS legacy systems and modernization strategies
  • Proficiency in SQL Server, including database design, stored procedures, and performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with Entity Framework, Dapper, and AutoMapper
  • Experience with SSRS and Power BI reporting tools

Architecture & Integration

  • Knowledge of N-tier, layered, and microservices architectures
  • Experience with design patterns such as Repository, Unit of Work, and Dependency Injection
  • Experience with REST APIs, JWT authentication, and API security
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns (IBM MQ, SOAP/WSDL, SignalR)

Cloud & DevOps

  • Experience with Docker containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Azure Container Apps)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and source control (Git or TFVC)
  • Experience with environment management across development and production systems

Modern Development Practices

  • Strong understanding of SOLID principles and test-driven development
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit, tSQLt)
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted/agentic coding tools to improve productivity and code quality

Leadership & Functional Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities
  • Experience leading Agile teams (sprint planning, task management, code reviews)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, * Experience in government, judicial, or public-sector technology environments
  • Background in legacy system modernization and microservices transformation
  • Experience working with large-scale databases and enterprise applications, * Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and system design
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, * Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field
