Java Reactive Engineer

Design, build, develop and support high-performance, event-driven applications using Java, Kafka, Vert.x, and reactive programming including non-blocking Java microservices using reactive architecture principles. Build event-driven solutions leveraging Kafka, asynchronous messaging, and resilient service communication patterns. Handle reactive stream processing, backpressure, error propagation, retries, and graceful degradation across high-volume workflows. Lead technical design, estimation, solutioning, and implementation in collaboration with Product Owners, architects, and stakeholders. Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive performance and reliability improvements. Participate in Agile ceremonies, release support, code reviews, and engineering governance. Promote coding standards, observability, automation, and engineering excellence.

4+ years of experience Experience leading and involved in hands on design, build, and support high-performance, event-driven applications using Java, Kafka, Vert.x, and reactive programming. Strong production engineering, distributed systems, and technical leadership experience.
