Job description

The Application Support Specialist will provide onsite technical support for court staff, judges, and courtroom operations. The role is responsible for troubleshooting desktop, software, application, and audio-visual issues while ensuring smooth day-to-day court proceedings., * Provide onsite technical support to court employees, judges, and judicial staff.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application, and connectivity issues.
  • Support courtroom audio-visual, recording, and broadcasting systems during live court proceedings.
  • Assist users with application functionality, troubleshooting, and general technical inquiries.
  • Learn and support court-specific technologies, including MiFILE and other judicial systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to PCs, peripherals, conferencing tools, and document management systems.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the County IT team as needed.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to court staff and the public.
  • Ensure courtroom and business technology systems remain operational.

Requirements

  • Experience in Desktop Support, Application Support, or End-User Technical Support.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows PCs, software applications, and peripherals.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite environments.
  • Knowledge of audio-visual technologies and conference room/courtroom support.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced onsite environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications and business systems.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with courtroom AV and recording systems (e.g., JAVS, BIS).
  • Experience supporting Zoom and hybrid meeting technologies.
  • Familiarity with Court MiFILE or other document management systems.
