Job description

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support and enhance a highly available enterprise network environment for a leading Banking and Lending organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in network architecture, operations, security, and cloud connectivity, with experience supporting mission-critical financial services infrastructure.

This role requires strong hands-on engineering skills, excellent troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, and Application teams to ensure optimal network performance, reliability, and security., * Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and Wireless networks.

  • Manage and optimize Cisco routing, switching, and network infrastructure.
  • Configure and support enterprise firewalls, load balancers (including Fortinet FortiGate and FortiADC), and network security appliances.
  • Support hybrid cloud connectivity between on-premises data centers and Microsoft Azure.
  • Administer network technologies including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools including LogicMonitor.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents and production issues.
  • Implement network segmentation, access controls, and security best practices leveraging the Fortinet security fabric.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Security teams on vulnerability remediation and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in on-call support and major incident response activities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Network Engineering experience in enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiEMS, FortiManager), or similar firewall and security platforms.
  • Experience supporting VPN technologies, remote access solutions, and secure connectivity, including Fortinet SSL VPN and IPsec.
  • Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, STP, VLANs, QoS, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with Azure networking services including Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, and VPN Gateways.
  • Experience supporting highly available production environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities., * CCNP, CCIE, or Fortinet NSE (4-8) certification.
  • Experience within Banking, Mortgage, Lending, or Financial Services organizations.
  • Experience with F5 Load Balancers and/or Fortinet FortiADC (FortiGSLB).
  • Hands-on experience with the broader Fortinet security fabric: FortiSIEM, FortiNAC, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, or FortiSOAR.
  • Familiarity with network automation and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
  • Exposure to Zero Trust and modern network security architectures.
