Job description
We are seeking a skilled Python Software Engineer with strong experience building and deploying cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have 5-8+ years of Python development experience along with hands-on expertise in OpenShift (OCP) or Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise software development. This is a software engineering role focused on developing, deploying, and supporting production applications rather than a traditional DevOps position., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications.
- Deploy and support applications on OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
- Troubleshoot deployment, container, and production release issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
- Ensure application reliability, performance, and security in production environments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment and development processes.
Requirements
<>Note: Candidates must be willing to work on W2 only. We are considering candidates with 7+ years of experience only (minimum 7 years required). Must be able to work on direct W2., * 5-8+ years of professional experience in Python software development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and enterprise application development.
- Experience deploying and managing applications on OpenShift (OCP) and/or Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Experience troubleshooting deployment issues, container images, and release failures.
- Strong understanding of Docker/containerization.
- Experience working in enterprise software development environments.
- Familiarity with Git and Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.
