Job description
- Data analysis: Collect, extract and analyze data from multiple systems to support accounting, finance and insurance reporting needs
- SQL development: Develop, maintain and optimize SQL queries to retrieve, validate and reconcile financial data
- Dashboard reporting: Design, build and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI and similar tools
- Excel analysis: Utilize advanced Excel functions (PivotTables, formulas, data modeling) to support reporting processes
- Close support: Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end close through reconciliation, validation and reporting
- Financial data review: Analyze premiums, claims, commissions, reserves and general ledger data
- Data integrity: Monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies and resolve variances
- Process improvement: Organize and maintain data structures and automate recurring reporting processes
- Regulatory reporting: Support statutory, regulatory and management reporting requirements
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Accounting, Finance, Actuarial and Operations teams to deliver data-driven solutions
- Documentation: Document data sources, methodologies and reporting logic
- Communication: Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders and support ad hoc requests
Requirements
Your Role: This role is responsible for transforming financial and operational data into actionable insights that support accounting operations, regulatory reporting, financial analysis and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in SQL, Power BI and Excel, with a solid understanding of accounting processes and a natural curiosity to explore data, identify trends and improve reporting accuracy and efficiency., * Technical expertise: Advanced SQL, Power BI and Microsoft Excel skills

- Experience: data extraction, reconciliation and reporting tools. Familiarity with relational databases
- Knowledge: Advanced SQL, Power BI and Excel skills
- Preferred: Familiarity with insurance industry and/or insurance accounting concepts
