Job description

  • Design and implement scalable geospatial web applications that integrate map-based visualization with Angular front end and Java fullstack back end to support complex spatial decision-making needs for business teams and external partners
  • Develop and maintain microservices based backend components using Java SpringBoot and Java REST Web API to deliver reliable and reusable services that efficiently manage geospatial data and related business logic
  • Architect event driven workflows using Kafka to stream, process, and distribute geospatial and transactional data, ensuring low latency, high throughput, and resilience for critical mapping and analytics use cases
  • Apply Java design patterns and advanced Java techniques to build clean, modular, and maintainable codebases that improve system extensibility, testing efficiency, and long-term sustainability of the geospatial platform
  • Collaborate with product owners and geospatial domain experts to translate complex mapping requirements into detailed technical designs that balance usability, performance, and enterprise integration constraints
  • Optimize Angular user interfaces for map centric workflows by refining component structure, state management, and API integrations to provide responsive, intuitive, and accessible experiences for diverse user groups
  • Enhance application performance and reliability by profiling Java services, tuning microservices configurations, refining database access patterns, and strengthening error handling around Kafka and REST interfaces
  • Ensure robustness and quality through systematic unit testing, integration testing, and automated validation of geospatial features, APIs, and microservices, while documenting key scenarios and edge cases clearly
  • Coordinate with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to align geospatial application deployments with enterprise standards, focusing on secure connectivity, observability, and efficient hybrid work support without travel dependencies
  • Guide continuous improvement of development practices by suggesting refinements to coding standards, reviewing peer implementations, and promoting reuse of proven patterns across Angular, Java, and Kafka components
  • Support production operations by analyzing incidents, diagnosing root causes in microservices or event streams, and implementing targeted fixes that improve stability and confidence in mission critical mapping services
  • Contribute to the broader company purpose by enabling data informed location intelligence solutions that help optimize resource usage, improve service coverage, and create positive societal impact through better spatial decision making
  • Document technical designs, API contracts, deployment procedures, and run books in a clear and comprehensive manner so that hybrid teams can collaborate seamlessly and maintain the geospatial stack effectively over time.

Requirements

  • Java Microservices
  • Core Java 3
  • Spring AI, * Possess eight to twelve years of professional experience in building enterprise applications with strong proficiency in core Java, advanced Java, and practical application of Java design patterns in complex systems
  • Demonstrate deep hands-on expertise in Angular development including component driven architecture, state management, and secure integration with RESTful Java backends for data intensive map and dashboard interfaces.
  • Bring proven experience in designing and operating Java SpringBoot microservices that interact via REST APIs and Kafka streams, with emphasis on scalability, fault tolerance, and clean separation of business capabilities
  • Show solid experience in configuring and using Kafka for event streaming, message handling, and data pipeline integration, including monitoring and tuning for stable performance in production environments
  • Exhibit strong skills in Java REST Web API development including request validation, response modeling, error handling, and adherence to enterprise security and compliance practices for geospatial services
  • Demonstrate familiarity with geospatial data concepts, map rendering workflows, and integration of mapping libraries or services into Angular and Java applications to support location-based analytics and visualization.
