Job description
The Data Warehouse SME serves as the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Team Lead responsible for the design, development, optimization, and operational support of large-scale SQL Server data warehouse environments supporting Concorde. This role provides technical leadership for enterprise reporting, business intelligence, and data integration efforts while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance of mission-critical databases.
- Lead the Enterprise Data Warehouse development team.
- Design, maintain, and optimize enterprise-scale SQL Server data warehouse solutions.
- Develop dimensional models and enterprise reporting structures following Kimball methodology.
- Oversee ETL development, data integration, and data quality processes.
- Support Operations & Maintenance activities for production data warehouse environments.
- Optimize database performance, indexing strategies, partitioning, and query execution.
- Collaborate with application developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Implement Agile development practices and participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement.
- Support cloud modernization and enterprise reporting initiatives.
- Mentor technical staff and establish database development best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 15+ years of database experience.
- 12+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience.
- Experience supporting SQL Server databases exceeding 5 TB and one billion rows of data.
- 5+ years working within Agile development environments.
- 3+ years of experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, ADO, Python, R, and cloud-based data technologies.
- 3+ years designing Kimball-style Enterprise Data Warehouses consisting of 500+ tables and enterprise-scale datasets.
- Strong database performance tuning and optimization experience.
Benefits & conditions
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $180,846 - $220,798. This range is a good-faith estimate and not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation will be based on factors including experience, education, skills, geographic location, internal equity, market data, and applicable contract requirements, and may fall outside the posted range.
