Job description

  • Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
  • Knowledge of best practices multi-tenancy VPC specifically in AWS / Azure environments
  • Knowledge of the API Gateway service and how it functions
  • Knowledge of Azure App Service, Lambda function, function apps infrastructure implementation / optimization
  • Designing, developing and deploying modular cloud-based systems.
  • Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
  • Regularly auditing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
  • Interacting with various business units, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on business needs.
  • Plan, coordinate and perform system maintenance, software installations and upgrades, patch management and documentation.
  • Work with internal teams to regularly update and adjust our technology strategic plan to assure we meet and are aligned with our business objectives.
  • Work with internal team to automate regular management tasks and streamline processes.
  • Support our user's needs, including troubleshooting, account maintenance and training.
  • Maintain and monitor systems in our 24 x 7 environment to assure they are operating at optimal efficiency.
  • Lead and participate in the conceptual phases of identifying and solving business problems and initiatives
  • Work with business departmental teams to help define and document business requirements for new metrics and reports.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.

Requirements

Raymour & Flanigan's Systems Team is looking for someone who is a positive influence and can provide technical leadership, expertise and guidance in an effort to continue the team's role of excellence.

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to work with our team to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. You will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud stacks, educating teams on new cloud initiatives, and ensuring the security of the cloud infrastructure.

To be successful as a Cloud Engineer, you should be able to identify the most optimal cloud-based solutions for our business and maintain our cloud infrastructure in accordance with best practices and company security policies. A top-notch Cloud Engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and should be a team player.

If you are a driven individual who is seeking challenges, then this is the position for you., * Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required

  • 3-5 years of experience in the field of cloud computing.
  • Azure, AWS certifications preferred
  • Troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
  • Ability to help create and map business needs/application requirements to technical solutions
  • Exceptional analytical and debugging skills
  • Must be a team player and be able to communicate well with the IT team and stakeholders
