Job description
As TASB's Systems Administrator I, you will serve as the first level of support for TechOPs, combining responsibilities from IT Support Analyst and foundational System Administrator roles. The role is responsible for providing front-line technical support, managing user access, maintaining AV systems, and supporting workstation setup and imaging to ensure a smooth operation of end-user systems and contributes to the reliability and security of the organization's IT infrastructure.
A Typical Day
- Document and track all service requests (phone, email, and ticketing system) from receipt through resolution.
- Unpack, configure, deploy, maintain, and repair computers, printers, and other hardware and software.
- Perform workstation setup, imaging, and deployment for new and existing users.
- Install, configure, and maintain audiovisual equipment including projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing systems.
- Manage user accounts in Active Directory, Exchange, and other enterprise systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on AV and workstation equipment.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.

How You'll Make an Impact
- Serve as the primary contact for front-line phone support and service requests reported to the Help Desk.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for AV systems during meeting and live events.
- Develop and maintain documentation for installation procedures and support processes.
- Train end users and junior staff on software application and IT procedures.
- Participate in rotating on-call support and provide extended hours support as needed.
- Travel occasionally to support offsite meetings and conferences.
Requirements
- High school diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in IT support and AV systems.
- Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365.
- Certification in AV or IT support (e.g., CTS, CompTIA A+) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of AV technology and tools.
- Familiarity with AD, Exchange, and access management protocols.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and customer service orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Capacity to adapt to evolving technologies, and industry trends.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 30lbs.
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally.
- Ability to be available for after-hour support when required.
