Job description
Seeking a hands-on Systems Integration Engineer to support the integration, bring-up, troubleshooting, and validation of complex electromechanical systems. This role is responsible for combining hardware, software, and mechanical components into fully functioning platforms, supporting prototype builds, system validation, and manufacturing readiness. This is a primarily onsite position with approximately 30% travel to engineering labs, supplier locations, and manufacturing facilities to support builds, integration activities, and issue resolution.
Scope:
- Integrate hardware, electrical, and software components into complete system builds.
- Perform system bring-up, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis on prototype and production platforms.
- Debug complex issues spanning mechanical, electrical, networking, and software domains.
- Execute system validation testing, collect data, and verify subsystem performance and interface requirements.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and external suppliers to support system builds, production readiness, and resolve integration challenges.
- Document findings, communicate technical issues, and work closely with design teams to implement corrective actions throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Hands-on experience integrating and troubleshooting complex hardware/software systems in a laboratory, manufacturing, or production environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and embedded system fundamentals.
- Experience performing structured root cause analysis and debugging multidisciplinary system issues.
- Working knowledge of Python, C++, or another object-oriented programming language.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, supplier, and operations teams., * Experience with complex electromechanical systems, robotics, autonomous systems, industrial automation, automotive platforms, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with sensors, embedded computing, wiring harnesses, power distribution, networking, and actuator systems.
- Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and other electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Experience supporting prototype builds, manufacturing integration, new product introduction (NPI), or production launches in a fast-paced engineering environment.
