- Mentored fellow data engineers through code reviews, architectural decisions, and technical planning sessions
- Led the design and implementation of scalable, secure data pipelines using dbt, Apache Airflow, and SQL
- Collaborated with Product Managers to launch new customer-facing analytics capabilities
- Partnered with DevOps to optimize cloud infrastructure with Terraform and AWS-managed services
- Built and maintained integrations with MySQL, SQL Server, and OLAP systems to support product insights and internal operations
- Participated in our on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability and performance
- Contributed to the hiring, onboarding, and professional development of the Data Engineering team
- Explored and evaluated new tools-including AI-assisted coding platforms like Claude and Windsurf-to improve engineering workflows

- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and data services
- Familiarity with MySQL, SQL Server, and OLAP databases
- Experience using Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools
- Expertise in modern data tooling, particularly dbt and Apache Airflow
- Operating reliable and performant pipelines in production environments
- Building data platforms that support both internal stakeholders and external customers
Benefits & conditions
We believe in equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is a core value. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a target base annual salary range of $190,000 - $220,000, plus bonus opportunity, company stock options, and a full benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a 401k. Please be aware that a candidates experience level and geographic location will be used to determine a competitive base salary. The higher end of this range is applicable to experienced candidates in the New York metro and Bay Area.
