Job description
We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to design, develop, test, and debug new and existing software applications. This role involves working on a large-scale platform, focusing on data manipulation and coding based on complex business logic. The developer will participate in the full development life cycle, from requirements analysis to deployment, serving as a technical expert on development projects., * Lead the design, implementation, deployment, and support of backend services.
- Support large-scale enterprise solutions and applications using AWS services.
- Analyze complex data and systems to provide efficient technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain coding standards throughout the project life cycle.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and business owners.
- Perform root cause analysis on production issues and monitor environments.
- Create functional specifications and technical designs.
- Implement industry best practices for code and configuration in an automated environment.
- Provide technical advice, effort estimates, and impact analysis.
Requirements
Sr. Python Engineer - Fareworks (internally developed seat pricing tool. pulls pricing data from competitor websites i.e. Delta, American Airlines, Southwest, Qatar Airways, etc.), so help business determine seat prices, which change dynamically.
No Data Engineers/Engineers, need more programming in Python & PANDA, need some Cloud exp or AWS (using now)

Version Control: GIT, Experience: Over 8 years in Python development, with at least 6 years of recent, in-depth experience using the Pandas library for data manipulation on large datasets.
Technical Skills:
- Programming Language: Python (including Pandas and boto3).
- Cloud Platform: Development experience on AWS.
- Containerization: Docker.
- Environments: Linux, Windows.
- Version Control: Git.
- Methodology: Agile development.
- Observability Tools: Experience with tools like CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or DataDog.
- DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Databases: Experience with MySQL, RDS, Redshift, or Iceberg.
- Experience in automation.
