Job description

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Experienced Data Scientist (level 3) to join our Delivery Center Business Intelligence team in Everett, Washington with an emphasis on Safety Management System (SMS), Quality Management System (QMS), Boeing Production System (BPS).

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative and diverse team. In this role, you will collect, analyze, visualize and distribute problem solving data. You will have the chance to define, design, develop, deploy and maintain Business Intelligence solutions. The Delivery Center Business Intelligence team provides the right data, to the right people, at the right time, for the right outcome.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning and implementation of new systems, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring compatibility and adherence to best practices
  • Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and suggest optimizations to improve overall system efficiency and responsiveness
  • Develop automated processes/scripts to capture and analyze data to track KPI's (key performance indicators) across a large-scale distributed system
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
  • Assist with system designs to enable data science capabilities
  • Assist with maintaining data quality
  • Assist with gathering customer requirements to meet business objectives
  • Develop data analytics capabilities in Python to solve business problems
  • Partner with the enterprise business functions and collaborate across multiple teams including analytics, product management, and operations to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies, industry trends, and security practices
  • Continuously improve skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience developing analytics solutions
  • 3+ years experience writing SQL queries/stored procedures with MSSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Teradata, etc
  • 3+ years experience in data science
  • Familiarity with secure controls using Git, SVN, PlasticsSCM, etc
  • Experience building deployment pipelines using Git CLI, Helm, Ansible, etc
  • Experience developing containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc
  • Experience developing data analytics with Python/R
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms such as IBM Cognos or Tableau
  • Experience with common data analysis and data visualization methods, * Master's degree or higher in a relevant field
  • 5+ years experience or relevant coursework with machine learning related open-source libraries including, but not limited to: SciKit-Learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
  • Experience with common Python packages used for data science
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, OpenShift, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc
  • Experience with large real-time data consumption architectures such as Redis, Kafka, Hadoop
  • Certifications in data science and/or data visualization, Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent, This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $138,000 - $170,500
