Job description

You will be the Systems Engineer Stf for the Test Planning and Execution Team which is responsible for the integration and test of supplier-procured software & hardware products with Lockheed Martin-developed software capabilities.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Systems Engineer Stf you will be responsible for leading the technical integration of external software and hardware into our test environment, ensuring functional compliance and performance readiness. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and drive execution.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute integration test plans for supplier-provided components.
  • Validate hardware and software interfaces against system requirements.
  • Identify and resolve defects, providing clear root-cause analysis.
  • Coordinate with engineering and program teams to align test schedules.
  • Document test results and generate actionable reports for stakeholders., Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Your passion for cutting-edge technology and commitment to excellence make this role a perfect platform to make a tangible impact., Bachelors or Above Degree in Engineering/Technical Discipline or 10+ years of relevant experience Experience with Linux operating systems and programming languages such as C++, Java, Python etc. (Red Hat preferred)

Strong oral and written communication skills needed to coordinate Mission Systems integration activities involving supplier provided hardware & software products with LM developed software products at the system level Experience leading a team or effort Experience with Agile development process Familiarity with Gitlab and Atlassian products Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team Familiarity with FAA Regulation 14 CFR Part 91. Private Pilot Certificate a plus Proven hands on Hardware/Software integration experience with minimal guidance Experience with test automation Experience with simulation test environments Experience with Model-Based System Engineering (Cameo) Experience with software pipelines and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) software developments concepts and tools Experience with Mission Systems Integration and Test Experience Developing and Executing Test Plans and Procedures Experience with verification, integration and test processes, and strong lab skills Mission Systems Flight Test Execution Working Knowledge of Aircraft Mission Systems and Familiarity with the Operational Use of a Modern Tactical Airborne Platform Experience aboard Flying Test Beds Experience with Pilot-in-the-Loop Simulation/Experimentation Experience with Helm and Kubernetes Experience with container orchestration technologies Experience with software test tools that deal with application behavior, such as Cucumber Experience with I&T on legacy platforms (F-22, F-35, etc) Active Top Secret Clearance w/ last completed investigation in last 5 years Willingness for occasional travel

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
