We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to support an IC program delivering network support to the customer's various wide area networks (WANs) and local area networks (LANs). This position will provide routing to an enterprise level infrastructure across multiple classifications and act as subject matter experts in routing technologies across multiple vendors.
The Senior Network Engineer responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility for the Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Wide Area Network (WAN) overall architecture
- Developing MPLS WAN services solution
- Performing lab equipment evaluation, integration, and testing
- Assisting with the security accreditation process
- Developing and maintaining relevant technical documentation.
- On as-needed basis, the engineer will also be responsible for supporting Tier-4 production troubleshooting and developing pro-active network analysis solution for the operations team.
Requirements

Must have 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 8 years, master's and 10 years, bachelor's and 12 years, associates and 14 years or HS diploma and 16 years.

Must be compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.

Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Juniper and Cisco routers and switches.

Experience with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VPN's, VRF's, MPLS.

Understanding of routing, switching, Internet Protocol (IP) subnet, Network Address Translation (NAT) and security technologies.

Demonstrated ability to engineer and modify rulesets to allow connectivity for new customer requirements.

Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and develop schematic diagrams, technical manuals, and documentation such that the supported equipment and software can be maintained with minimal training.

Working knowledge of Service Now or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) products.

Intermediate-level knowledge of MS Office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Ability to represent the team and deliver status reports to internal and external leadership.

Excellent organizational and follow through skills.

Strong communication (written and verbal) skills.

Detail oriented with problem-solving skills.

Not required but experience with Palo Alto, Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA), and Forcepoint firewall equipment and applications is a plus.

Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317
