Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Document Services System Administrator to lead the management, optimization, and security of our document processing and system infrastructure. In this role, you will ensure seamless operation of document management systems, oversee system architecture, and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and security. Your expertise in IT infrastructure, system design, and solution architecture will drive the success of our document services environment, supporting organizational needs with agility and precision.
- Monitoring production equipment including large production printers, DVD burners, desktop monitors, desktop printers, copiers
- Oversee proper stock levels, storage, and order inventory for large production operation including paper, toner, ribbon, packaging, DVDs regulating proper levels to ensure no lapse in production
- Oversee equipment functions and output for a 24/7 production operation with high volume outputs averaging 2000 products a week
- Intermediate to advanced level technical competence in computer systems including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Ability to perform basic maintenance and utilize service call/ work order-based systems to resolve issues and maintain production operations
- Strong Communication Skills -work directly with IT support, DEV Team, and the government client in order to resolve issues over email, teams messaging, and phone
- Ability to address concerns with systems, be decisive and offer solutions, and proactive response to concerns as it pertains to the DSP program and production line
- Maintain and foster a positive healthy professional relationship with contractors and government client cultivating a team atmosphere
- Adaptive to new systems procedures and workflows coinciding with new technology and advancement in production flow process
- Conduct and provide monthly and weekly reports on system operations to the PM.
- Strong excel skills, updating spreadsheets daily and accurately
Requirements
- Proven experience in system administration within complex IT environments involving operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
- Strong knowledge of system design principles.
- Hands-on experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle for data management tasks.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, organization and analytical abilities
- Strong communication and teamwork capability, including technical advice to non-technical staff
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines and adapt to fast-paced environments

Education:
- A High School Diploma or GED
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. The ability to move files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary would be required.
