Job description
We're looking for an IT professional who enjoys being hands-on and solving problems in a manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with Tier II-level IT experience who's ready to take ownership of day-to-day IT operations without necessarily coming from a formal management background.
You'll support both office and production users, keep systems running smoothly, troubleshoot technical issues, and help improve the company's overall IT infrastructure. If you like variety in your day and want to work closely with multiple departments, this role offers plenty of opportunities to grow.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide day-to-day IT support for office and manufacturing employees (hardware, software, network, and user support)
- Maintain and troubleshoot servers, network infrastructure, PCs, and business systems
- Install, configure, and upgrade hardware, software, and networking equipment
- Monitor system performance and help improve reliability and security
- Assist with cybersecurity efforts, backups, software licensing, and system maintenance
- Work with outside IT vendors and service providers when needed
- Support IT projects, system upgrades, and technology improvements
- Train employees on basic IT tools and security best practices
- Help maintain documentation, equipment inventory, and IT-related records
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 2 years of hands-on IT support experience (Tier I/Tier II or similar)
- Experience supporting Windows-based environments, PCs, hardware, software, and networking
- Working knowledge of:
- Network administration
- Windows servers
- Cloud-based platforms
- Endpoint support
- Cybersecurity best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work on-site and support both office staff and manufacturing operations
Bonus Experience
- IT experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience supporting ERP or production systems
- Vendor coordination or project implementation experience
