Job description
Role: IT Environment Engineer - Contract, We are seeking an experienced IT Environment Engineer to design, maintain, and optimize enterprise application environments that support development, testing, deployment, and production operations. This role will be responsible for ensuring seamless environment integration across platforms, enabling efficient software delivery and supporting large-scale transformation initiatives, including an Oracle Fusion migration program.
The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and application teams to ensure stable, scalable, and reliable environments throughout the software development lifecycle., * Design, build, maintain, and optimize application environments across development, testing, staging, and production.
- Ensure environment readiness and availability to support project delivery, application deployments, and ongoing operational needs.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and development teams to facilitate smooth integration and deployment activities.
- Manage environment configurations, dependencies, and release coordination across multiple platforms and applications.
- Support environment strategy and execution for the Oracle Fusion migration program.
- Monitor environment performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to increase stability and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot environment issues, coordinate resolution efforts, and minimize disruptions to project timelines.
- Partner with Infrastructure and Cloud teams to ensure environments are aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Develop and maintain environment documentation, processes, and governance standards.
- Support automation initiatives that improve environment provisioning, maintenance, and deployment processes.
- Participate in release planning and deployment activities to ensure successful application rollouts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise application environments, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- Experience designing and managing environments across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, release management, and deployment processes.
- Experience working with cloud platforms and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
- Proven ability to collaborate across QA, Development, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams.
- Experience troubleshooting complex environment and integration issues.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale ERP implementations or migrations, particularly Oracle Fusion Cloud.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools.
- Knowledge of environment management best practices in enterprise organizations.
- Familiarity with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
- Experience working in complex, multi-system integration environments.
