What you'll do... Role summary: The Principal, Data Analyst plays a critical role in translating complex business challenges into actionable data-driven solutions. This position requires expertise in data analysis, visualization, and quality management to identify root causes and recommend effective strategies. The role involves guiding teams, ensuring data integrity, and aligning insights with business objectives to drive measurable impact. The successful candidate will leverage advanced analytical techniques and collaborate across functions to support decision-making and continuous improvement within the organization. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential to influence stakeholders and mentor associates. About the team: The Investigative Risk & Operational Compliance Center (IROCC) Ethics & Compliance Analytics team delivers critical support across compliance functions by leveraging automation, analytics, and AI. The team focuses on protecting the Enterprise and its customers through advanced data analysis, visualization, and quality management. Members apply strategic insights to identify risks and enhance operational effectiveness. Collaborating across business domains, the team drives data-driven solutions that align with organizational goals. This group fosters continuous improvement and innovation to uphold high standards of integrity and compliance while enabling informed decision-making throughout the company. What you'll do:
- Analyze complex business problems using advanced data analytics and automation techniques to identify root causes and recommend effective technology solutions.
- Define key metrics and success criteria to measure the impact and effectiveness of data-driven initiatives.
- Identify, assess, and validate data sources ensuring data quality and relevance for business needs.
- Translate business requirements into actionable data strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Develop and deliver compelling data visualizations and insights to influence stakeholders and support decision-making.
- Mentor team members on analytical methods, data quality standards, and visualization best practices.
- Lead data quality management efforts to ensure data integrity and compliance with governance policies.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in data analysis, visualization, and exploratory data analysis using tools such as SQL, PowerBI, Dataiku and Python.
- Strong understanding of data quality management, data strategy, and data governance principles to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable data-driven solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
- Expertise in identifying and sourcing relevant data from disparate databases and performing rigorous data quality assessments.
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring team members and guiding analytical approaches to solve business challenges effectively.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
