Job description

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL) Architect to design, implement, and optimize field service solutions supporting Toyota Motors'' manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Salesforce Field Service combined with hands-on experience in manufacturing or public utility environments, where asset-intensive, technician-dispatch, and preventive/predictive maintenance workflows are core to daily operations., * Lead end-to-end architecture and solution design for Salesforce Field Service Lightning implementations, including scheduling, dispatch, work order management, and mobile technician enablement.

  • Design and optimize complex scheduling and optimization policies (resource matching, travel time, service territories, skills-based routing) to support manufacturing plant maintenance and field technician operations.
  • Architect integrations between Salesforce FSL and enterprise systems (ERP, asset management/EAM, IoT platforms, inventory management) common in manufacturing and utility environments.
  • Define data models for assets, work orders, preventive maintenance plans, and service contracts aligned to manufacturing equipment hierarchies and utility asset structures.
  • Partner with business stakeholders (plant operations, maintenance, supply chain) to translate operational requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership on Salesforce best practices, governance, security model, and platform scalability.
  • Guide development teams on Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, and FSL-specific configurations (Service Resources, Service Territories, Maintenance Plans, Asset Hierarchies).
  • Ensure solutions comply with change management, release management, and DevOps practices appropriate for a large enterprise/manufacturing environment.
  • Support mobile workforce enablement strategies for field technicians operating in plant, utility, or distributed manufacturing settings.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Salesforce platform experience, with 4+ years specifically in Field Service Lightning / Field Service architecture.
  • Proven experience architecting Salesforce solutions for manufacturing companies OR public utility organizations (required - candidates without this domain background will not meet client requirements).
  • Strong understanding of asset management, preventive maintenance, and complex work order lifecycles typical of plant/manufacturing floor or utility field operations.
  • Hands-on expertise with:
  • Field Service core objects (Work Orders, Service Appointments, Service Resources, Service Territories, Maintenance Asset/Plans)
  • Scheduling & Optimization (complex scheduling policies, Optimization engine)
  • Salesforce Mobile App / offline-first field technician enablement
  • Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow/Process Automation
  • Integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft or similar middleware, IoT data ingestion)
  • Salesforce certifications required or strongly preferred:
  • Salesforce Certified Field Service Consultant
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect (preferred)
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II (preferred)
  • Experience working within large enterprise, multi-site organizations (automotive, industrial manufacturing, or utilities).
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to work directly with plant/operations leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience specifically within automotive manufacturing (OEM or Tier 1 supplier) environments.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce FSL with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and EAM/CMMS platforms.
  • Experience with IoT-driven predictive maintenance data feeding into Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with union/labor scheduling rules common in manufacturing/utility field workforces.
  • Active Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) credential a plus., * Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
