Job description

The IT Enterprise Asset Manager / Application Administrator (ITSM / ITAM) will provide advanced technical support and administration of the current SolarWinds Orion asset management/monitoring platform as well as the SolarWinds SaaS based ITSM Suite., Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Be the subject matter expert for our organization on ITSM and Asset Management concepts and processes.
  • Primary platform owner and key support for our current SolarWinds ITAM and ITSM systems. Provide support on both platforms and coordinate with the respective vendors for licensing, upgrades, and support.
  • Lead on educating key stakeholders on both ITSM & ITAM concepts and best practices aligned with ITIL.
  • Interface with executives, engineers, and vendor technical support resources as requested.
  • Configure, manage and support monitoring of our enterprise key resources using SolarWinds Orion
  • Configure, manage and support asset discovery across our enterprise using SolarWinds Orion
  • Configure, manage and support SolarWinds ITSM for use in supporting IT and HR functions across our enterprise
  • In cooperation with the respective IT platform owners, create asset lifecycle plans, processes, dashboards and reports which can be used for both compliance reporting and budget planning
  • Document data flows between internal and external environments.
  • Participate in on-going certification and training opportunities.
  • Provide mentoring and leadership to team members as appropriate.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of successful experience in the role of IT Asset Management for an enterprise organization with more than 10k in IT assets
  • 3+ years of experience with SolarWinds ITSM and ITAM products.
  • 3+ years of experience with ITIL concepts and specifically Service Management
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Based in the Dallas / Ft Worth metroplex for in office, physical presence weekly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SolarWinds Orion Administration (NPM/NCM)
  • ITIL/ITSM relevant portfolio management experience
  • ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals (CSA)
  • Networking and VMware experience is a plus

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or appropriate field. Without benefit of a degree, equivalent on-the-job or technical training and progressive experience may be acceptable.

Professional Experience: 5-10 years of experience supporting enterprise applications (minimum of 2-5 years of NetSuite experience required). Experience with applications or applicable business financial field is preferred., * Experience with enterprise platforms such as: ERP systems (NetSuite), Spend Management Platforms (Coupa), Cash Management Systems (Kyriba)

  • Proficiency in JavaScript (SuiteScript)
  • Workflow and integration tools

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Work Environment: Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation, stooping and bending to files and supplies, mobility to complete errands, or sitting for extended periods of time. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasionally work environment may be very stressful.
