Job description
We're looking for an IT Desktop Support, Onboarding & Training Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be the go-to person for setting up new employees with the systems and access they need, keeping our business systems running smoothly, and helping teams across the company work more efficiently. You'll blend hands-on desktop support with systems administration, training, and process improvement - a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, likes solving problems, and takes pride in making things easier for others., * Assist with employee onboarding by setting up users, roles, permissions, and system access.
- Manage portal administration and support related system access, user maintenance, and process improvements.
- Work with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and improved workflows.
- Provide broader IT and desktop support across the company, including onboarding of new employees and basic technical troubleshooting.
- Participate in testing, validation, and rollout of new configurations, enhancements, and process changes.
- Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles to support consistent processes and self-service troubleshooting.
- Train end users on systems, tools, and processes, and serve as a resource for ongoing questions and support.
Requirements
- Experience training end users and supporting employee onboarding within business systems.
- Ability to translate business needs into practical system configurations and process improvements.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with general IT support or desktop support.
- Patience, a service-oriented mindset, and strong follow-through.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Information Systems, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience., * Experience supporting ERP systems.
- Familiarity with workflows, forms, custom fields, and integrations.
- Experience with documentation, test plans, user acceptance testing, and release support.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, growing company where adaptability and cross-functional support are important.
Physical/Technical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment (e.g., desktops, monitors, peripherals) up to 25-40 lbs as needed.
- Ability to perform desk-side support, including setup, cabling, and troubleshooting of workstations and peripherals.
- Comfortable working on-site and moving between workspaces, offices, or floors as needed to provide support.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
