Job description
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, including processing-intensive analytics and novel algorithm development.
- Conduct comprehensive software design, testing, and requirements analysis.
- Perform database engineering and manipulate extremely large data sets.
- Lead software development teams and collaborate effectively with system and hardware engineers.
- Utilize key technologies such as Java, AWS, Confluence, JIRA, Gitlab, and NiFi., * Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements.
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
- Design, code, and modify software to add new features, correct defects, and improve performance.
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems and operating environments.
- Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
- Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components; review and test software for adherence to design.
- Provide specific input to system design, including hardware/software trade-offs and requirements analysis.
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance, data usage, and investigating problem areas.
- Serve as a team lead, overseeing software development teams and ensuring adherence to process constraints.
- Design and implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.
- Confer with system and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and understand project limitations.
- Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning.
- Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
- Required skills include Java, AWS, Confluence, JIRA, Gitlab, NiFi, Software Testing, Dataflow, Requirements Analysis, Mathematics, Algorithm Development, Systems Engineering, Database Engineering, Technical Team Leadership, and Full life cycle software development.
