- Guide customers in building scalable, optimally managed solutions and adaptable to technological improvements using Red Hat technologies.
- Lead and deliver Services discovery sessions to educate customers on Red Hat technologies and best practices.
- Support the creation and review of task lists, accurately scoping projects and ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
- Provide technical expertise during presales activities.
- Build and maintain solid customer relationships, fostering collaboration and success.
- Clearly articulate the value of the Red Hat Services Portfolio, including Consulting, Training, and Technical Account Managers and integrate services into customer solutions.
- Provide customer feedback to internal teams to enhance product offerings and services.
- Lead internal initiatives that foster innovation, efficiency, and growth within the Services business.
- Continuously learn, grow, and adapt to new skills and technologies
- Regular travel to client locations, up to weekly according to project needs, * Bring together your existing technical and leadership experience with new knowledge of Red Hat technologies to design and lead solutions for customers
- Gain exposure and collaboration within Red Hat Services & the more prominent organization through everyday networking and community events.
- Successful, collaborative delivery of customer projects as a technical lead through expertise on Red Hat's technologies
Within six months, support Services on a project by attaining the following:
- Successful, collaborative delivery of customer projects as a technical lead through expertise in Red Hat's technologies.
- Working with sales/account teams to build technical roadmaps for customers who have not yet committed to a Red Hat solution
- Continue expanding your knowledge and network, both internal and external, through enablement, communities, customers, and meetups
- Impact Red Hat by identifying areas of opportunity internally and leading efforts to improve; such as developing standard solutions, simplifying processes, participating in interviews, etc.
Within 12 months, demonstrate technical leadership by accomplishing the following:
- Successfully implementing complex, large-scale solutions in customer environments.
- Active engagement and knowledge sharing with our internal and external communities of practice on lessons learned, best practices, and how-tos.
Requirements
The Red Hat Services team is looking for an Architect to design and deliver strategic solutions that solve our clients' business challenges, through technical leadership, hands-on implementation, and enablement of recommended practices. In this role, you will play a key role as a promoter of the adoption of Red Hat's solutions for our customers by using your technical expertise, and interpersonal skills. You'll need to have a balance of solid technical experience, team leadership, awareness of open source, thorough understanding of business processes, and the ability to identify and solve issues at an enterprise level., * 5+ years experience in a solution architect, enterprise architect or technical consultant role
- Track record for creating architectural designs and leading a team on implementation toward successful customer outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to oversee project delivery including collaborating on project timelines and scope of work, identifying stakeholder needs and setting expectations
- Experience working collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders
- An ability and desire to mentor and experience with mentoring and coaching team members
- Experience leading teams in workshops, enablement, or engagements
- Associate or Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a technical discipline
- Experience leading successful modern cloud platform consulting engagements
- Experience with Linux system administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivative
- Experience utilizing Red Hat Satellite to deploy and manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
- Experience with Identity Management technologies, including but not limited to Red Hat Identity Manager, Microsoft Active Directory or other identity providers.
- Experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation and automation platforms like Chef and Puppet
- Experience with Red Hat Openshift and/or underlying components like Kubernetes and containers
- Broad and deep technical experience with one or more virtualization and cloud technologies like OpenShift Virtualization, OpenStack, VMWare vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure
- Experience across one or more vertical industry areas
- Demonstrated track record of working in a strategic advisory role to senior IT and business executives, including extensive experience presenting to C-level executives at large firms
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to gain Red Hat certifications in the early stages of your career with Red Hat, with current active Red Hat certifications a plus
