Job description
Role Description Looking for full-time Databricks Solution Architects, for on-site roles based in the Atlanta and Dallas Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible to lead the design and delivery of modern data and AI platforms built on the Databricks Lakehouse architecture, and for defining scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise data solutions that accelerate digital transformation and analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong consulting and client-facing skills, enabling them to translate business objectives into enterprise-grade architectures while guiding implementation teams through successful delivery.Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end enterprise data and analytics solutions using the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
- Define scalable reference architectures, data models, integration patterns, and technology roadmaps aligned with business and enterprise architecture standards.
- Lead discovery workshops and collaborate with business stakeholders to gather functional and non-functional requirements.
- Architect robust data ingestion, ETL/ELT, streaming, transformation, governance, and analytics solutions.
- Guide implementation teams on best practices for Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and cloud-native services.
- Design secure, governed, and cost-optimized data platforms with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Integrate Databricks with enterprise applications, ERP platforms, APIs, cloud data services, and modern analytics ecosystems.
- Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure solution quality and adherence to enterprise standards.
- Optimize data pipelines, workloads, and infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
- Mentor data engineers and technical teams while promoting engineering excellence and architectural best practices.
- Create reusable frameworks, accelerators, reference implementations, and architectural assets that strengthen Winfo's Data & AI offerings.
- Support pre-sales activities including solution assessments, architecture proposals, effort estimation, and technical presentations.
- Stay current with emerging Databricks capabilities, AI innovations, and cloud-native data engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Analytics solutions.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience designing enterprise solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
- Strong expertise in Databricks components including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks Workflows, Delta Live Tables (DLT), Databricks SQL, MLflow.
- Advanced knowledge of Apache Spark, PySpark, SQL, Python, and/or Scala.
- Experience building enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines, batch and streaming data solutions.
- Hands-on experience with any one or more cloud platforms - Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS, Google Cloud Platform
- Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, security, IAM, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and consulting skills., * Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional or Solution Architect certifications.
- Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent cloud certification.
- Experience implementing Lakehouse modernization and legacy data platform migrations.
- Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions on Databricks.
- Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Financial Services domain experience is desirable.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, or other modern cloud data platforms is a plus.
- Experience reporting platforms such Power BI, Tableau
