Job description
We are seeking an Appian UI Developer for software development, integration, customization, and support. This role involves working as part of an agile team on new development projects. The position requires close collaboration with analysts and business lines to understand and implement new requirements, particularly for RDA reporting., * Translate requirements into work units to deliver Appian solutions within a larger application context.
- Perform hands-on development on Appian BPM applications, including SAIL code.
- Utilize Appian technical documentation and user communities to build new prototypes.
- Code, configure, debug, unit test, integrate, and document application enhancements.
- Develop user guides for new projects and enhancements.
- Analyze and resolve application logic issues, updating documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with database developers, quality assurance, and business analysts to ensure data integrity, consistency, and security.
- Adhere to SDLC standards and best practices within an Agile development framework.
- Conduct root cause analysis on production issues.
- Work independently on assignments based on specific requirements.
Requirements
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Appian UI development, including configuration, debugging, unit testing, and documentation. Experience with one or more end-to-end Appian BPM or UI implementations is required. Expertise in designing and implementing BPM solutions for process simplification, case management, and role-based applications.
Technical Skills: A comprehensive understanding of Appian objects such as Records, Sites, Actions, Security, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, Web API, Interface Rules, CDTs, Process Models, Integrations, and Connected Systems is necessary. This includes proficiency in Appian BPM fundamentals, architecture, and technical features like Tempo, Forums, SAIL, plugin development, Smart Services, and reporting. Experience with Appian 18 or higher versions and database design is needed. Knowledge of SQL and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) is required.
