Job description
We are seeking an Esri developer to strengthen ArcGIS platform capabilities and address a skills gap within a specialized geospatial ecosystem. This role will be instrumental in advancing enterprise GIS initiatives, supporting mission-critical applications, and enabling the scalability of geospatial data services across the organization. This is an opportunity to join a team supporting a highly customized ArcGIS environment where demand for geospatial solutions continues to grow., * Design, develop, and maintain applications leveraging the Esri ArcGIS platform (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online).
- Build and support web GIS applications using technologies such as JavaScript APIs, ArcGIS SDKs, and REST services.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable geospatial solutions.
- Support and optimize map services, feature services, and geodatabases.
- Perform system integrations across enterprise platforms, including security and data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex GIS-related issues across environments.
- Contribute to modernization efforts, including cloud adoption and evolving architecture strategies.
- Document solutions and help build long-term institutional knowledge within the team.
Requirements
Experience: 1-5 years of experience working with Esri ArcGIS technologies.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Online.
- Proficiency with ArcGIS JavaScript API or SDKs.
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, or .NET for geospatial development.
- Strong understanding of GIS concepts, spatial data, and geodatabases.
- Familiarity with REST services and API integrations.
- Knowledge of .Net Core.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale, enterprise GIS environments.
- Knowledge of Esri system architecture, deployments, and upgrades.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
- Exposure to DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Experience working with technical vendor teams.
- Understanding of networked systems and security considerations for GIS applications.
