Job description

Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill an Advanced Systems Engineer position within their high-technology defense systems team. This role will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving system design weaknesses, developing system security documentation, and providing system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support. The position is based in Canonsburg, PA and can be fully remote/telework, fully on-site, OR Hybrid/Flex as desired., The CL-Advanced Systems Engineer is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving system design weaknesses, developing system security documentation, and providing system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support. The role involves developing and evaluating systems, networks, and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications. The Systems Engineer supports the generation of technical engineering products throughout the system development life cycle and influences the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework used across multiple products or systems., As a systems engineer for our client, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for capturing all aspects of both the problem domain and the concept solution domain for future torpedo products. You will use advanced digital engineering methods, such as the usage of modern model-based systems engineering tools (e.g. NoMagic/MagicDraw/Cameo) to model interactions between the system of interest, all relevant stakeholders, and also define the conceptual system architecture and design validation and production methods.

Requirements

  • History of Experience Performing Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Proficiency with Cameo System Modeler MBSE Tool (aka NoMagic/MagicDraw/Cameo)
  • Deep subject matter expertise in design, development, and testing of underwater vehicle systems

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience., * Success leading the systems development life cycle with strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools
  • Creative thinker motivated to apply technical standards and methodologies to develop solutions
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical leadership and position others for success
