Job description

  • Develop, document, and continuously improve the Product Notice (PN) process to ensure efficient and accurate new product setup.
  • Serve as the process owner for all Product Notices from initiation through final implementation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities required for new product introductions, including Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and EHS.
  • Ensure all product master data, formulas, packaging specifications, bills of material, routing information, and system requirements are accurately established.
  • Facilitate project timelines and monitor progress to ensure new products are launched on schedule.
  • Identify and resolve issues that could delay product introductions or impact operational readiness.
  • Maintain process documentation, training materials, and standard work instructions related to new product setup.

Item Change Notice (ICN) Management

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Item Change Notice (ICN) process.
  • Serve as the process owner for all product, packaging, formula, specification, supplier, and system changes requiring an ICN.
  • Coordinate the review, approval, and implementation of changes across all impacted departments.
  • Ensure changes are accurately documented, communicated, approved, and implemented according to established procedures.
  • Track ICN status, implementation timelines, and completion metrics.
  • Manage change-related risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize disruption to operations and customers.

System and Master Data Management

  • Maintain alignment of product-related master data between Cary manufacturing systems and Do it Best systems.
  • Execute system updates associated with new products, product modifications, packaging changes, formula revisions, and item maintenance activities.

Cross-Functional Change Coordination

  • Act as the central point of contact for product changes affecting the Cary facility.
  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders to ensure awareness of upcoming product launches and changes.
  • Lead change review meetings and provide regular status updates to leadership.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product setup, change management, implementation cycle times, and process effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce lead times, and improve cross-functional execution.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive standardization and optimization of product setup and change management processes.
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and process gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Support business transformation initiatives related to ERP integration, master data governance, and operational excellence.
  • Develop reporting and metrics that provide visibility into workload, project status, process performance, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status, * Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in change management, new product introduction or related experience in a manufacturing environment
