Linux System Administrator

• Monitor system performance and ensure uptime
• Manage user accounts and permissions
• Troubleshoot and resolve server issues
• Implement and maintain security updates
• Create and maintain system documentation

General comment on degrees: Most contracts allow additional experience (4-5 years) in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 4-5 years experience credit for a Bachelor's Degree. Some contracts give 2 years experience credit for a Master's Degree. We will work with you to find the right fit., * Proficiency with Linux command-line tools

• Experience with shell scripting
• Knowledge of server virtualization
• Familiarity with configuration management tools
• Understanding of file systems and storage
• Ability to monitor system logs effectively

DESIRED SKILLS

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP)
• Knowledge of security hardening practices
