Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled DDI Engineer to join our Foundational Services organization. This role will focus on designing, engineering, and enhancing enterprise-scale DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) solutions across hybrid environments, including on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms such as AWS Route 53 and Azure DNS.

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering and architecture background with experience designing and implementing large-scale network services. This is not a traditional support role; we are looking for someone who can provide technical vision, define future-state architecture, drive automation, and help shape the long-term strategy for DDI services., * Design, engineer, and enhance enterprise DDI solutions supporting hybrid environments across on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms.

  • Develop and maintain DNS/DHCP/IPAM architectures using technologies such as Infoblox, BlueCat, AWS Route 53, and Azure DNS.
  • Define future-state DDI vision, architecture standards, and technology roadmaps.
  • Automate DDI workflows using tools and technologies such as Python, Ansible, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement automation solutions for provisioning, zone management, synchronization, compliance validation, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Network, Cloud, Security, and Infrastructure teams to design scalable and resilient solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex DNS, DHCP, and IPAM issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver long-term corrective solutions.
  • Lead technical investigations for high-priority incidents and network-impacting issues.
  • Establish technical standards, review security updates and vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for DDI technologies and contribute to enterprise technology strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, DDI engineering, or infrastructure architecture roles.

  • Strong hands-on experience with DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) technologies.

  • Experience working with enterprise DDI platforms such as:

  • REST APIs

Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments (1,000+ users or equivalent infrastructure scale).

Experience working in engineering or architecture roles rather than primarily operational support roles., * Experience developing enterprise network architecture and technology roadmaps.

  • Experience with Active Directory integration and enterprise identity services.
  • Experience with software-defined infrastructure and cloud networking.
  • Knowledge of security practices related to DNS, DHCP, and network services.
  • Experience working with cross-functional technology teams and external vendors.
