Job description

The Power BI Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing business intelligence solutions that provide meaningful insights to support organizational decision-making. This role partners with business leaders, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather reporting requirements, transform data into actionable analytics, and create interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI., * Design, develop, and maintain Power BI platform, dashboards, reports, and scorecards.

  • Create meaningful visualizations and key performance indicators (KPIs) that support business objectives.
  • Build and maintain reusable Power BI semantic models with standardized measures, relationships, hierarchies, KPI definitions, and business-friendly naming conventions.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain data models using Microsoft Dataverse, SQL databases, or other data sources.
  • Prepare enterprise datasets and data models for AI and Microsoft Copilot initiatives
  • Write and optimize DAX calculations, measures, and expressions.
  • Perform data validation and quality assurance testing.
  • Connect and integrate data from multiple sources, including multiple ERP, CRM, HRIS, financial, and operational systems.
  • Set up and support data warehouse and data management initiatives.
  • Work closely with department leaders to understand reporting and analytical needs.
  • Translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions.
  • Provide end-user training and support for Power BI tools and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security requirements.
  • Maintain documentation for reports, datasets, and reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
  • 1+ years of experience preparing datasets, semantic models, metadata for AI, Copilot, or self-service analytics use cases.
  • Experience building data pipelines and integrating multiple enterprise systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query.
  • Experience developing data models and performing data analysis.
  • Experience supporting Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Operations environments.
  • Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., * Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate Certification (PL-300).
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, or Synapse Analytics.
  • Experience with D365 F&O, SAP B1, other CRM or financial systems.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Familiarity with predictive analytics and data science methodologies., While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to walk for prolonged periods of time, frequently bending, climbing, rotating, squatting, reaching, kneeling, or stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds, and periods of computer use.
