Job description

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer - Full Stack .NET Developer to join a technology team responsible for supporting critical Mail and Print Operations applications used for shipping label generation, scanning, printing, and processing. This team manages more than 10 enterprise applications and is actively modernizing systems through cloud migration, application reengineering, containerization, and AI integration initiatives., * Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using .NET technologies.

  • Build and support RESTful APIs, Web APIs, and cloud-native application architectures.
  • Participate in modernization initiatives, including migration of legacy applications to cloud and containerized environments.
  • Develop and optimize SQL database solutions and data access components.
  • Support vulnerability management, security remediation, and application resiliency efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and automation practices.
  • Participate in production deployments and occasional evening releases when required.
  • Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis of application issues., * Agile/Scrum
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

Team Environment

  • Approximately 12 team members located across the United States.
  • Supports enterprise mail and print operations systems.
  • Focus on application modernization, cloud transformation, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborative Agile environment with opportunities to work on innovative technologies, including AI-enabled solutions.

Interview Process

  • One-hour virtual panel interview.
  • Candidates should be prepared for hands-on technical discussions and coding-related questions.
  • Strong understanding of core .NET concepts and practical development experience is required., * This position is a backfill opportunity supporting ongoing modernization initiatives.
  • Hybrid schedule with mandatory onsite attendance three days per week.
  • Contract duration is 12 months with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent position based on business needs and performance.

Requirements

This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong Microsoft technology expertise, cloud experience, and a proven ability to work across the full software development lifecycle., * 5+ years of software engineering experience with recent hands-on development expertise.

  • 3+ years of experience developing applications using .NET Core.
  • 3+ years of experience with:
  • Web APIs
  • RESTful API design and development
  • Angular or modern front-end frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience with:
  • SQL Server and SQL database development
  • Autosys job scheduling
  • Cloud platforms, preferably OpenShift (OCP)
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines.
  • Proven ability to participate in technical design, coding, debugging, and application support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Apigee API management platform.
  • Experience with Kafka messaging technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architecture patterns and containerization technologies.
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications.
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and emerging AI-driven application solutions.
  • Experience with OpenShift container platforms and Kubernetes-based deployments.
  • Strong understanding of software security and vulnerability remediation practices.
  • Ability to convert to full-time employment without sponsorship requirements.
